AI agent development & automation.

We build AI agents and automations for repeatable work, like sorting incoming requests or drafting replies, with a person still making the decisions that matter.

Where an agent is worth building

Good candidates are tasks done many times a week, where a first draft saves real time.

We start with one task, not a platform.

What the agent may do

We write this down before we build. It only loosens once the agent has a track record.

On its own

  • Read the request
  • Sort it
  • Draft a reply

After a person approves

  • Send an email
  • Change production data

  • Payments
  • Deletions

How we build it

  • A short list of tools

    Named and limited.

  • Reading apart from writing

    Read-only unless needed.

  • Tested on real examples

    Including bad input and escalations.

  • A run history

What the agent did, and why.

If a Flow or a short script can do the job, we’ll recommend that instead.Suggest a task to start with How a project runs

Built on our own agents

Umbra AI is our private platform for engineering agents, used on our own work. It isn’t a hosted product.

Common questions

Can an agent work with our existing applications?

Often, through supported APIs, a custom MCP server, or a purpose-built integration. We first confirm permissions and available interfaces. The agent’s access can be narrower than the account or system it connects to.

Can this run without someone watching every step?

Some narrow tasks can, once we know how they fail, how we’ll watch them and who reviews them. We never start by giving an agent open access to production, and anything it does on its own is limited to that one task.

How do you evaluate an AI workflow?

We agree examples, expected outcomes, and unacceptable behavior before rollout. Tests can cover tool permissions, malformed inputs, interruptions, and cases that need escalation. Human review remains part of the design for results that require it.
